Kristen's Story
Kristen is a fascinating individual with many talents and
interests. As a nurse practitioner, she
provides vital care for critically ill babies and children in the intensive
care unit at a major children’s hospital.
That’s her day job. She is also an
accomplished photographer, with a particular
passion for underwater photography, as well as an aspiring rock musician.
One of her favorite relaxation activities is SCUBA diving, and she has traveled to remote corners of the
globe to capture stunning images of the world's oceans and marine life. Kristen grew up in a family that was
intimately connected with the water, so according to them, she was born a fish. She became a certified diver at the age of 12.
Kristen had to have heart surgery some years ago, and she thought
she was going to have to give up her greatest passion - diving. But when she got an unexpected “all clear”
from her surgeon, she returned to the ocean with a vengeance and a camera. Today shark diving is one of her favorite
pass-times, so you will find lots of shark images among her photographs.
Kristen is deeply committed to sharing her passion for the
underwater world with others through her photography. Her images capture the
beauty and majesty of the ocean, and her work has been widely recognized for
its exceptional quality.
Music is another one of Kristen's creative outlets. She is a
talented composer and lyricist, plays multiple instruments, and even has her
own recording studio. She is the lead
singer and guitarist of a rock band, where she expresses her creativity and
love of music.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic
University as well as a Masters in Nursing from University of Miami and is a
licensed Nurse Practitioner. Kristen's life is a testament to the power of
pursuing one's passions with dedication and commitment, and she is an
inspiration to those who know her.
